Here we’re going to tell you a little about the lives of these two little girls who, due to their unique beauty, ended up dominating the world of social media, becoming a sensation and even being named the most beautiful twins in the world. The story begins when Jaqi and her husband Kevin Clements had their baby girl, welcoming healthy and stunningly beautiful twins in 2010. When Ava Marie and Leah Rose Clements arrived, the family knew that their lives were about to change forever and drastically. Born in July 2010, twins Ava Marie and Leah Rose Clements were born four and a half weeks prematurely. When the girls grew up a little more, their mother Jaqi, knowing their personalities, understood why. She says: “They arrived four and a half weeks early, but knowing their personalities now, it makes total sense for them to show up early, unannounced, and ready to face anything.”

After so much encouragement, Jaqi began her girls’ modeling career. Even though they were only 6 months old, they signed a contract with an agency in Los Angeles. As it turned out, Jaqi already had a two-year-old son, so this was a lot of pressure for her. “It was hard enough getting out of the door almost every day, so my attempt at that time was short-lived and I decided it wasn’t time yet,” she says. She tried for three months, but ended up having to postpone her twins’ modeling career.

A bit superstitious, Jaqi believed that 7 was her lucky number, and it was no accident that the twins were born on 7/7. So when it came to the twins’ 7th birthday, and also the fact that they were about to turn 7 on July 7, 2017, things started to take a new turn.

By the age of 7, Ava and Leah had fully developed their personalities and hobbies. The sisters had a special love of dancing and swimming. “I presented my idea to the girls that, if they accepted, in addition to the dance classes and swimming teams they took part in every week, they could try modeling.” Jaqi recounts what she told the girls on her birthday.

At the same time, one of Jaqi’s neighbors had just opened a children’s boutique and needed some models. And guess what? The girls tried out and got the job! Jaqi said how she wanted to help the local business: “Besides, I needed some new photos to get an agent for them, so I thought it would be a great opportunity for all of us,” she says.

The girls were so young, after all, so Jaqi wanted to take things slowly. Seeing them wearing a lot of make-up and wearing a collection of very attractive designer clothes all the time could interfere in a detrimental way with their development. Jaqi made a point of taking control of the situation from the start. She would do things the right way, her way, with heart and mother’s intuition. “I took my 10-year-old Nikon camera out of a dumpster in the garage, put some waves in the girls’ hair, applied some blush and we went out to take some pictures,” the mother says.

About the first experiments, Jaqi says: “Ava was looking at the camera while Leah was looking into space… Leah accidentally bumped into Ava who, of course, thought it was on purpose and pushed her back.” Ava and Leah looked down, but were they capable of real modeling? Jaqi knew that the girls were still very young and understood that some time and patience would be needed to get the hang of it.

At this point the whole family was on the same page, so it was time for the girls to find a new modeling agency to sign with. Jaqi feared it would be difficult, as it had been six years since they first modeled. Even though she thought it would be difficult, she says: “To my surprise, I heard almost everyone asking to make an appointment to meet the girls”. The twins ended up signing with two modeling agencies very quickly!

jaqi thought that having two agencies representing her daughters was amazing! The mother thought it would mean more opportunities and exposure for the girls. Everything seemed to be going well until one of the agencies called her, asking the girls to call back for an audition for the Barbie brand. That’s when Jaqi started to panic because the girls had received another call through the other agent! The mother had to be honest with the agency and everything was sorted out in just a few hours.
