This is the art of Buster + Punch. BY Willow Aliento May 1st, 2026 Tags: Buster + Punch , Buster Bulb , Caged Wet Light , George Clooney , industrial design , Jessica Alba , LeBron James , Lighting DEsign , Massimo Buster Minale , product design Consider a light switch or electrical switch, for example, touched countless times a week. Now imagine that object infused with tactile qualities, elevated to a sensory encounter with patina, purpose and elegant aesthetic. The genius of Buster + Punch, founded by creative director, Massimo Buster Minale, is transforming the pedestrian into perfection. Through a fusion of industrial design and architectural sensibilities, Minale crafts objects that make every moment matter. The act of switching on a light, opening a drawer or door, connecting a stereo to the power socket. The range embeds the same exacting technical approach Minale applied to creating custom motorcycles, flavoured with East London’s dynamic cultural energy. Design is the hero, purpose becomes beautiful and interiors are exceptional in even the smallest detail. An architect who also built custom motorcycles, Minale had become frustrated by the process of finding things that worked together both aesthetically and functionally. So, he began to design his own in his small garage workshop, and in the process, created a brand that has attracted some of the most -design-conscious celebrities on the planet, including George Clooney, Jessica Alba and LeBron James. A philosophy emerged: elevate the everyday and treat the details in a home with the same care lavished on fashion or furniture products. “Details are the most important part of a design – the things you touch multiple times a day,” Minale says. The exceptional appearance with the signature Buster + Punch cross-knurling delivers purpose and pleasure. Precision-engineered solid metal gives a superb sensory experience for weight, tactility, balance, temperature and grip. Objects become an interface between a moment and a material, the click of a solid metal light switch, the smooth feel of a cabinet pull or door handle and the deft operation of a dimmer switch. What is habitual becomes exceptional, because how we feel matters as much as what we see. Lighting has also become a distinct space in the Buster + Punch cosmos, with Minale’s design alchemy transmuting LED technology into an artistic treasure with sculptural sophistication. The Buster Bulb launched in 2015 has been engineered with intention and flair, bringing brilliance and boldness. New collections such as the Caged Wet Light enable the same exceptional crafting and elegance to enter new spaces including bathrooms, spas and outdoor living areas. It becomes possible to create a coherent narrative across every space in the home. With the choice of burnished brass, sleek stainless steel or matte black for each part of the Buster + Punch range, the final piece of the interior design palette clicks into place. The modularity and inherent circular thinking ensures a lasting lifespan, with elements that are changeable, replaceable and ultimately designed to endure. “We want to make it easy, fun and exciting to shop home details,” Minale explains. “Everything you need, matching perfectly, in your basket within minutes for an adaptable aesthetic transformation that resonates for decades or more.” INDESIGN is on instagram Follow @indesignlive The Indesign Collection A searchable and comprehensive guide for specifying leading products and their suppliers Faux Leather Upholstery Materialised Internal Roller Blinds Shade Factor Jac Zenith 3D Ceiling Tiles Autex Acoustics Indesign Our Partners Keep up to date with the latest and greatest from our industry BFF's!
